Nail time!

I was browsing the internet and saw this!

Now I’m wishing I have these glitter + holographic nail polishes!

To ease my frustration, I checked out my nail polish stash and saw some similar (but not really) polishes.

I reached out for my U & A nail polishes which were basically composed of different sizes of glitters, nevertheless, pretty. Easy to apply, opaque in 2 coats, and dries up fast with a shiny finish. It’s a bit gritty because of the glitters but not as bad that a good top coat can’t solve.

For the toes I applied the purple nail polish. They only have numbers for color reference which I’ll show you later in this post.

This polish has silver super micro glitters with purple micro glitters and tiny pentagon holographic glitters.

I decided to go light on my fingers so I applied the silver + cream micro glitters with tiny purple square glitters.

My fingers were pretty and shiny but then I decided to add some nail art. 🙂

The plate that I used was Kand’s CG41. I’m not sure if this is another brand of nail art plates or just an imitation of Konad. Konad plates are hard to find here and are overpriced.

I used Zoya Demi as the nail art stamp polish. This shade is a gorgeous medium dusty mauve with red undertones. This is my favorite nail polish for nail art stamps and a gorgeous color for a full mani as well. (This was given to me as a gift by my sister. Thank you! 🙂 )

For the thumb, I used the pattern on the upper right.

For the rest of my fingers I used the crisscross design, the one on the middle left. Originally, I planned to make French Tips with this design but I cannot apply it in a perfect and uniform straight line on all nails so I decided to apply it diagonally instead. Turns out, it looked better!

Here’s a complete shot of my nail art:

Here are the name/numbers of the nail polishes I used.

The nail polish on the left was the one I used on my toes, the middle one on my nails, and Zoya Demi for the nail art on the right.

For the top coat, I used the one from Face Shop.

My weekend nail art!

Now a short recap on Organic Rituals’ Long Wear Pedi.

Remember this?

It’s been 1 month and 1 week now and I still have that on my toes. Yes, I let them stay for that long just to be able to know how long their “Long Wearing Pedicure” really is.

For the past weeks, I did my regular routine: Work, run errands which have lots to do with walking, do household chores, and hang out with friends. No running, jumping, or going to the gym. I wore slippers, sandals, heels, etc. but I never worn any closed shoes. I was not careful about my nails, just doing activities the usual way.

And now, after 1 month and 1 week, my toes…

look…

like…

these…

Chipped nail polish on both of my big toes.

Surprise! Can you believe it? It’s been more than a month and these are the ONLY damages! Super long wearing indeed!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! What preparations are you doing for your upcoming Valentine’s date?

A couple of weeks ago, my sister-in-law and I went at Organic Rituals. Organic Rituals offers services from mani-pedi to rejuvenation to detoxification. And EVERYTHING THEY USE ARE ALL ORGANIC! Of course, except for some plastic dispensers and metal nail nippers. Well, you know what I mean.

I love the ambiance and how the place looks like -- just like home!

I tried their body scrub and loved it! I think I even dozed off. I can’t say much about it because it was my first time 🙂

After the scrub, I took a shower and  tried their shampoo and conditioner (Because my attendant was raving so much about how great they were and that I should try it.). And you know what? It was the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever tried! Remember those times when you watch a shampoo/conditioner commercial and tell yourself, “As if that’s really gonna happen to my hair.” With these  two, my hair became just how it was on commercials in just 1 wash!

After the scrub, Long Wearing Mani-Pedi were next.

My manicurist really took her time and was very careful.

I chose Adina for my toes and Heather for my fingers.

Adina

Adina

Adina  is a duochrome. It’s purple that shifts to a grayish green color depending on the light/angle.

Heather

Heather

Heather is a light lilac purple color. It looks “blah” on the bottle but on my nails,  gorgeous! Sometimes it looks pink, sometimes even neutral. Very girlie.

When they say long wear, it really  is looonnggg weeeeaaaarr.  My manicure lasted for 3-4 days before it started chipping off. Wait, don’t make judgements yet. I do almost every chore in the house (I don’t cook and do the laundry) every day. I play and teach piano and I also gave our big dog a bath that time. Other nail polishes I’ve tried won’t even last a day.

For the nail polish on my toes, still no signs of chipping off and it’s been 2 weeks!

The attendants are very polite, caring and sensitive to their client’s needs. They’ll make you feel comfortable even if it’s your first time or not. One even towel dried my hair! Maybe if they saw me brushing my hair, they’ll do it for me too! (Princess Sarah, is that you?)

Organic Rituals spoils their clients. If you need some well-deserved pampering, let Organic Rituals do it for you.

For prices and other services, check out their Facebook Page or their Multiply Site.

Oh, and I bought the shampoo and conditioner. Reviews soon! 🙂
