Got another Nymph Aura Volumer! I now have the Nymph Aura Volumer in #1 Pure Nymph Aura! 🙂

Description and Directions for Use

It can be mixed with your favorite BB cream or liquid/cream foundation for a dewy finish or apply directly on your face to highlight.

A more close up look.

Compared to my swatch of the Nymph Aura Volumer in #2 Brilliant Pink Aura, the dewy finish of #1 Pure Nymph Aura is very obvious. It has no shimmer and no pinkish glow.

Nymph Aura Volumer + BB Cream

For this photo, I did a 1:4 ratio. I have combination skin and too much Nymph Aura Volumer #1 on me might be mistaken for oil. 🙂

Here are some photos of Nymph Aura Volumer in #1 Pure Nymph Aura and #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura:

I like the Nymph Aura Volumer in #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura better because the dewy finish is subtle and it gives a pinkish glow to the skin. Like I said before, #1 Pure Nymph Aura would look better for people with dry skin but definitely, I will still use my #1 Pure Nymph Aura, I just have to use it sparingly.

I’m loving my Nymph Aura Shine Lips in Aura Pink and Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #17 Pink I decided to buy the Coral version. : )

This post would be more of the swatches of Nymph Aura Shine Lips in Aura Coral and Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #18 Coral and comparisons between the pink version. For a more detailed review about the product, please click here.

Photos! Photos! Photos!

1. Nymph Aura Shine Lips in Aura Coral – It is very close to my lip color so it appears more natural on me compared to the Aura Pink.

This is almost the shade in real life.

2. Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #18 Coral – Sheer coral with gold shimmers which appear very subtle when applied.

And when I use them both…

Except for the color (duh?!), the pink and coral version of the Nymph Aura Lips is very much the same. I really don’t know which one I love more! I’ll just wear them alternately or depending on my mood. I just wished they lasted a little longer.

The Nymph Aura Shine Lips costs 478php while the Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss is 278php per tube.

For comparisons between the pink and coral lip products of the Nymph Aura line, here are a couple of pictures:

Another product from Etude House’s Nymph Aura line is the Nymph Aura Loose Powder. I bought the Nymph Aura Loose Powder #2 in Brilliant Pink Aura (628php).

Nymph Aura Loose Powder

Nymph Aura Loose Powder box side view

What Etude House says:

Loose powder for both glowing finish and highlighter supplies the radiance and healthy glow to face with oil-absorbing coverage.

You read that right! It has oil-absorbing properties!

The 15 grams of Nymph Aura Loose Powder is in a pretty round pot and comes with a nice, soft puff.

The holes of the pot are well sealed by a clear, transparent plastic with a “pull-up-here-to-remove-sticker” part.

It’s powder and it’s in a pot but it’s not messy! It dispenses just enough powder on the puff. I use 1 – 2 times of that amount on my face.

It looks like an iridescent white-pink powder. It has a powdery, floral scent similar of that to the Nymph Aura Volumer.

When blended on the skin, it becomes very sheer with an opalescent finish. Not the type of opalescence that elaborates pores, rather, an opalescence that gives a pinkish glow to the skin. I have large pores and I stay away from frost and pearlescent finishes but this product doesn’t enlarge and emphasize pores.

I use this product as a finishing powder after BB cream + Nymph Aura Volumer or on top of an ordinary foundation. It gives a nice finish. Oil-control is surprisingly good! (Etude House wasn’t bluffing!)

To sum things up:

Pros:

  • Gives a pinkish, glowing finish.
  • Color is very sheer and blends well with the skin.
  • Oil-control is good. Took 8-10 hours before I needed to use an oil blotter.
  • The shimmers are very subtle.
  • Does not enlarge pores like how other pearlescent cosmetics do.
  • The quality of the puff is good.
  • It can act as a highlighter too.
  • A little goes a long way.

Cons:

  • I use the puff to put the powder on my face but I still have to use a powder brush for a more even distribution.

Here are other photos of the Nymph Aura Loose Powder on my skin. Please click the photos to enlarge and see the effect of the powder.

If you want something that will give you a pinkish glowing finish or if you’re bored of your plain old oil-control powder, try this!

Fresh Cherry Tint

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint #2 Pink

I went to Etude House at SM North EDSA yesterday and did some rushed shopping. One of the things I bought was Etude House’s Cherry Tint in #2 Pink.

I thought of buying a lip tint because I’ve been too much into lipsticks lately and wanted something natural with minimal maintenance. I tried both the red and pink Cherry Tints and I loved the latter.  (It also comes in peach which was not available.) The sales associate also said that the pink one was the most saleable shade between the 2. Each tube contains 9.5 grams of product and is worth 328php.

Etude House’s Fresh Cherry Tint in #2 Pink is in a fat, short tube similar to Benefit’s Posietint. Guess what it smells like — cherry of course!

It comes with a doe foot applicator with bristles that feels like wet cotton on the lips, very soft!

Product description and directions.

The best word for me to describe the consistency of the tint is “ketchup-like”. There’s this slight cool (not minty) sensation that disappears after a  minute or two. At first it feels as if butter was put on my lips. The tint glides like butter on my lips leaving a nice, shiny, smooth finish.  The shine only stays for a few hours though. It also feels a bit drying but not as bad that I needed to apply a lip balm. I find it very similar to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cremes. It does not settle on lip lines, I even think that it decreases their appearance!

This tint lasts loooooong and is haaaaard to remove! I had a hard time removing the swatch on my hand. I washed my hand, vigorously brushed it to remove the tint, then took a bath and there was still some stain left.

The tint comes out milky pink from the tube but turns into a just-eaten-a-popsicle color after a few minutes.  You can layer the tint if you want more coverage.

I just love how natural the color is! It’s not glossy like my Nymph Aura Ultra Shine Lips in #17 Pink so it really looks very natural, some people might even think that it’s just your natural lip color!

For reference, here are pictures of my lips with and without the Fresh Cherry Tint:

My bare lips. 🙂

My lips with Fresh Cherry Tint

In summary,

Pros:

  • The color is so natural.
  • The color is buildable.
  • The applicator is easy to use and has very soft bristles.
  • I like the cooling sensation upon application.
  • Glides like butter on my lips.
  • Gives a smooth appearance and feel to the lips.
  • Doesn’t settle on lip lines and does not accentuate them.
  • Smells like cherry.
  • Comes in a nice, cute container.
  • Lasts very, very long.

Cons:

  • Feels a bit drying.
  • I find it difficult to remove.

This may not be a perfect product but I’m loving it so much I’ll give it a perfect score!!! ❤

The most intriguing product among Etude House’s Nymph Aura line is the Nymph Aura Volumer.

Nymph Aura Volumer in #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura

I tried avoiding it at 1st because of the thought that I might just look like a skinny, oily pig. :p Too much curiosity led me into buying it!

Nymph Aura Volumer comes in 2 shades, #1 Pure Honey and #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura. The #1 Pure Honey gives a moist and dewy finish which, in my opinion, will work best for those with dry skin. I have combination skin so I decided to purchase #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura.

Date manufactured is printed at the bottom of the bottle.

Product description and instructions.

What Etude House says:

Makeup Multi-Cream maximizing the radiance and dewy glow on skin, completing flawless skin with plumped up moisture.

#2 Brilliant Nymph Aura is a light pink fluid with pink shimmers and has a mild floral, powdery scent.

Pure Nymph Aura Volumer #2 on my skin. Notice that the sheen it gives still looks natural.

The volumer’s consistency is a little less thick than a liquid foundation. When blended on the skin, it gives a dewy pinkish glow. It also brightens the skin a little.

Nymph Aura Volumer on skin when hit by light.

The shimmers are hardly noticeable unless hit by light. (Click the photo above to see the shimmers near the thumb.)

Nymph Aura Volumer mixed with BB cream.

Directions:

Apply evenly on skin with 1:3 mix of BB cream or foundation. Use foundation brush or BB brush to get perfect blending. When used for highlighting, apply on the nose, forehead, and cheekbones with the Volumer alone.

It took 8 hours before I oiled up, given that I’m not wearing any primer or oil control powder but  my BB cream has some oil control properties.

The sales associate told me that for oil control and touch ups when using the volumer, the Nymph Aura Loose Powder is your best choice. Using a different powder may conceal the effects of the Volumer.

Thoughts:

This is an interesting product which people may want to try, but it’s not as unique. Mix it with BB cream or foundation to make your skin glow or use it as a highlighter by applying it directly on you skin. It may seem a bit steep for 798php but a little goes a long way.

Because of the shimmers, others may say that it will only accentuate large pores, make your face seem oily, and will be too shimmery if used at daytime. I say, by using just the right amount, it will give you the glowing, pinkish, and dewy skin that you want.

For oil concerns I suggest you use a primer with oil control, or better, use Nymph Aura Loose Powder.

For a die-hard fan of matte-looking-zero-percent-oil, you may not be amazed by this ingenious cute thing but for those who want a glowing, dewy look, this is one of the best ways to achieve it!

Happy December! 25 days to go till Christmas! Have you done your Christmas shopping yet? If not, I suggest that you visit Etude House and check their Nymph Aura and Sweet Propose line! Personally, my favorite among all the brands and all the makeup lines/collections released, is Etude House’s Nymph Aura Line! 😀 The culprit? The Nymph Aura’s lip products!

Nymph Aura Shine Lips and Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss

Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #17 Pink

My camera captured the exact shade of the lip gloss except for the gold shimmers. 😦

They don’t call it Roll Roll Gloss for nothing! The applicator tip DOES ROLL!

Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #17 Pink on my bare lips

This is my first time to have an applicator like this, you roll the applicator on your lips. It gives a shiny wet look. It’s not sticky and has a strong candy-like scent. Compared to Nymph Aura Shine Lips, the shimmers of this gloss are more visible.

Nymph Aura Shine Lips in Aura Pink

It has a very faint candy scent.

It looks bright and pigmented but when swatched, it’s actually sheer. It has hints of gold shimmers which are barely noticeable.

Nymph Aura Shine Lips in Aura Pink on my bare lips

The color is sheer, just enough to give you that healthy looking, pinkish lips! Evens out my lip color and gives a glossy finish. Does not dry my lips, actually, it feels like a lip balm. Doesn’t stay long enough for me though.

So let’s see them together, shall we?

Looks almost the same in terms of color and shade.

Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss on Nymph Aura Shine Lips

pouty lips! 😀

I like how sheer and subtle the color is, very pretty and natural.

In summary,

Pros

Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #17 Pink:

  • Gives a wet, shiny finish.
  • Smells nice.
  • Has subtle shimmers which gives a nice effect to the lips.
  • The applicator tip is something to try, it’s easy to use too!
  • Very affordable for only php278!

Nymp Aura Shine Lips in Aura Pink:

  • Gives a natural pinkish color to the lips.
  • Evens out my lip color.
  • Very moisturizing.
  • Has a very faint scent.
  • Not bad for php 478.

Cons

Dear Darling Roll Roll Gloss in #17 Pink:

  • Lasting power is average.

Nymp Aura Shine Lips in Aura Pink:

  • Lasting power is a little below average.
  • It is quite sheer so I need to layer a couple of times meaning a lot of product is used in a single application, it will be consumed faster than my regular lip products.

I really don’t mind the cons of these lip products. They go so well together! Next stop, Nymph Aura Volumer! 😀
