Another product from Etude House’s Nymph Aura line is the Nymph Aura Loose Powder. I bought the Nymph Aura Loose Powder #2 in Brilliant Pink Aura (628php).

What Etude House says:

Loose powder for both glowing finish and highlighter supplies the radiance and healthy glow to face with oil-absorbing coverage.

You read that right! It has oil-absorbing properties!

The 15 grams of Nymph Aura Loose Powder is in a pretty round pot and comes with a nice, soft puff.

The holes of the pot are well sealed by a clear, transparent plastic with a “pull-up-here-to-remove-sticker” part.

It’s powder and it’s in a pot but it’s not messy! It dispenses just enough powder on the puff. I use 1 – 2 times of that amount on my face.

It looks like an iridescent white-pink powder. It has a powdery, floral scent similar of that to the Nymph Aura Volumer.

When blended on the skin, it becomes very sheer with an opalescent finish. Not the type of opalescence that elaborates pores, rather, an opalescence that gives a pinkish glow to the skin. I have large pores and I stay away from frost and pearlescent finishes but this product doesn’t enlarge and emphasize pores.

I use this product as a finishing powder after BB cream + Nymph Aura Volumer or on top of an ordinary foundation. It gives a nice finish. Oil-control is surprisingly good! (Etude House wasn’t bluffing!)

To sum things up:

  • Gives a pinkish, glowing finish.
  • Color is very sheer and blends well with the skin.
  • Oil-control is good. Took 8-10 hours before I needed to use an oil blotter.
  • The shimmers are very subtle.
  • Does not enlarge pores like how other pearlescent cosmetics do.
  • The quality of the puff is good.
  • It can act as a highlighter too.
  • A little goes a long way.

  • I use the puff to put the powder on my face but I still have to use a powder brush for a more even distribution.

Here are other photos of the Nymph Aura Loose Powder on my skin. Please click the photos to enlarge and see the effect of the powder.

If you want something that will give you a pinkish glowing finish or if you’re bored of your plain old oil-control powder, try this!

Nymph Aura Volumer in #2 Brilliant Pink Aura

The most intriguing product among Etude House’s Nymph Aura line is the Nymph Aura Volumer.

Nymph Aura Volumer in #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura

I tried avoiding it at 1st because of the thought that I might just look like a skinny, oily pig. :p Too much curiosity led me into buying it!

Nymph Aura Volumer comes in 2 shades, #1 Pure Honey and #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura. The #1 Pure Honey gives a moist and dewy finish which, in my opinion, will work best for those with dry skin. I have combination skin so I decided to purchase #2 Brilliant Nymph Aura.

Date manufactured is printed at the bottom of the bottle.

Product description and instructions.

What Etude House says:

Makeup Multi-Cream maximizing the radiance and dewy glow on skin, completing flawless skin with plumped up moisture.

#2 Brilliant Nymph Aura is a light pink fluid with pink shimmers and has a mild floral, powdery scent.

Pure Nymph Aura Volumer #2 on my skin. Notice that the sheen it gives still looks natural.

The volumer’s consistency is a little less thick than a liquid foundation. When blended on the skin, it gives a dewy pinkish glow. It also brightens the skin a little.

The shimmers are hardly noticeable unless hit by light. (Click the photo above to see the shimmers near the thumb.)

Nymph Aura Volumer mixed with BB cream.

Apply evenly on skin with 1:3 mix of BB cream or foundation. Use foundation brush or BB brush to get perfect blending. When used for highlighting, apply on the nose, forehead, and cheekbones with the Volumer alone.

It took 8 hours before I oiled up, given that I’m not wearing any primer or oil control powder but  my BB cream has some oil control properties.

The sales associate told me that for oil control and touch ups when using the volumer, the Nymph Aura Loose Powder is your best choice. Using a different powder may conceal the effects of the Volumer.

This is an interesting product which people may want to try, but it’s not as unique. Mix it with BB cream or foundation to make your skin glow or use it as a highlighter by applying it directly on you skin. It may seem a bit steep for 798php but a little goes a long way.

Because of the shimmers, others may say that it will only accentuate large pores, make your face seem oily, and will be too shimmery if used at daytime. I say, by using just the right amount, it will give you the glowing, pinkish, and dewy skin that you want.

For oil concerns I suggest you use a primer with oil control, or better, use Nymph Aura Loose Powder.

For a die-hard fan of matte-looking-zero-percent-oil, you may not be amazed by this ingenious cute thing but for those who want a glowing, dewy look, this is one of the best ways to achieve it!
