Hello! Do you remember the organic shampoo and conditioner that I mentioned in this post? I’ve been using these for a couple of weeks now.

Organic Rituals: (L) Conditioner and (R) Shampoo

My attendant made me try this because she said the duo was really wonderful, and she was right! When I tried them back then, it was like I was starring in a shampoo and conditioner commercial! Lol!

While rinsing off the shampoo on my hair, I was so amazed I mumbled “Oh, my gosh!” inside the shower. Next, I tried the conditioner and I was even more amazed I quietly shouted “Sh*t!”. I was really surprised at how good they were and mind you, I very seldom make those expressions. 🙂

I asked the receptionist if I can buy their shampoo and conditioner. She looked for a clean and empty container and filled it with the shampoo. Maybe they ran out of shampoos for sale? The conditioner that she gave me was the one displayed on the rack.

Organic Rituals' Shampoo. It was sliding on my wrist.

Organic Rituals' Conditioner

Here are my observations:

Pros:

  • Organic!
  • Way, way, way cheaper than other brands! Shampoo: 200php and Conditioner: 250php. Others cost more than 1,000php!

On the first wash,

  • The conditioner was so easy to rinse off from my hands.
  • My hair was tangle free and very smooth, even after using only the shampoo. Using the conditioner afterwards multiplied the effects.
  • My hair was so easy to comb.
  • My hair became softer, bouncier, shinier, and less dull.
  • Does not make my hair oily.
  • Does not weigh down my hair.
  • Drying time is shorter compared to when I use regular shampoo and conditioner.
  • Dandruff softened and were removed from the scalp. (So it strayed on my hair. 🙂 )

After several washes,

  • No more visible dandruff!
  • Less hair fall.
  • Hair looks healthier.

Cons:

  • I have to use more shampoo products to make it bubbly.
  • It would be better if they put some description about the product or list of ingredients used.
  • The shampoo scent reminded me of the Bazooka Bubble Gums I had when I was young and the conditioner was like virgin coconut oil + olives. I like the scent, I just hoped that the smell would be stronger a bit. If ever that’s possible, because these were supposed to be organic products.
  • Only available at Organic Rituals.

1st time to try organic shampoo and conditioner and I’m loving it! 🙂

If you have the chance, try them!

Please take note that most of my observations were compared to regular shampoos and conditioners. My observations, comments, and suggestions were based on hair products in general and not specifically to organic hair products only.

While killing time at the mall, I decided to check out Pink Box. Pink Box is a store that sells cute stuff. They mainly sell accessories but they also have some cute notebooks, pens, and charms. They also offer personalized bracelets, necklaces, key chains, and the like. I think Pink Box is the “accessories version” of Etude House! They also have pink baskets for shopping!

Pink Box plastic bag

I got these!

Red Ribbon Headband!

This cute red headband only costs 79.75php! Just a reminder, if you’re going to buy a headband, don’t forget to try it on. Headbands do not come in standard sizes. Just like shoes, it will be really uncomfortable if you buy one that does not fit you well.

tephone wire ponytail

Telephone wire ponytails are hair friendly. It doesn’t wrap around the hair too tight causing damage. All telephone wire ponytails that I have seen are plain and bare except that it comes in different colors and sizes. When I saw that this one has trinkets on it, I grabbed it at once! This was the only one left, lucky me! This one costs 69.75php.

Looks cute as a bracelet!

If you’re looking for cute accessories for your daughter, niece, god-child, or even for yourself :), go and check out Pink Box!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! What preparations are you doing for your upcoming Valentine’s date?

A couple of weeks ago, my sister-in-law and I went at Organic Rituals. Organic Rituals offers services from mani-pedi to rejuvenation to detoxification. And EVERYTHING THEY USE ARE ALL ORGANIC! Of course, except for some plastic dispensers and metal nail nippers. Well, you know what I mean.

I love the ambiance and how the place looks like -- just like home!

I tried their body scrub and loved it! I think I even dozed off. I can’t say much about it because it was my first time 🙂

After the scrub, I took a shower and  tried their shampoo and conditioner (Because my attendant was raving so much about how great they were and that I should try it.). And you know what? It was the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever tried! Remember those times when you watch a shampoo/conditioner commercial and tell yourself, “As if that’s really gonna happen to my hair.” With these  two, my hair became just how it was on commercials in just 1 wash!

After the scrub, Long Wearing Mani-Pedi were next.

My manicurist really took her time and was very careful.

I chose Adina for my toes and Heather for my fingers.

Adina

Adina

Adina  is a duochrome. It’s purple that shifts to a grayish green color depending on the light/angle.

Heather

Heather

Heather is a light lilac purple color. It looks “blah” on the bottle but on my nails,  gorgeous! Sometimes it looks pink, sometimes even neutral. Very girlie.

When they say long wear, it really  is looonnggg weeeeaaaarr.  My manicure lasted for 3-4 days before it started chipping off. Wait, don’t make judgements yet. I do almost every chore in the house (I don’t cook and do the laundry) every day. I play and teach piano and I also gave our big dog a bath that time. Other nail polishes I’ve tried won’t even last a day.

For the nail polish on my toes, still no signs of chipping off and it’s been 2 weeks!

The attendants are very polite, caring and sensitive to their client’s needs. They’ll make you feel comfortable even if it’s your first time or not. One even towel dried my hair! Maybe if they saw me brushing my hair, they’ll do it for me too! (Princess Sarah, is that you?)

Organic Rituals spoils their clients. If you need some well-deserved pampering, let Organic Rituals do it for you.

For prices and other services, check out their Facebook Page or their Multiply Site.

Oh, and I bought the shampoo and conditioner. Reviews soon! 🙂

Beach? Boracay!!!

Hi everybody! Back to reality. Back to work/school. 😦

Rewind a couple of weeks back… So, how was your vacation? I bet you enjoyed every single minute of it!

I spent Christmas together with my mom and dad at Boracay, Aklan. Every Christmas our whole family goes on vacation but last year, it was impossible for the whole fam to join.

First, the flight. Our airline was Cebu Pacific, Manila – Caticlan; departure: 2:40pm. To make the long story short, our flight was 3 hours delayed and instead of landing at Caticlan Airport, we landed here:

Kalibo Airport

So we still have to take a 2-hour bus ride to reach Caticlan, board a boat going to Boracay then ride a tricycle going to the beach. We were delayed for a total of 6 hours!

We shopped on the first day. There are lots of familiar, as well as native shops, at Boracay. They have “D’ Mall” where the branded and familiar shops are, and “D’ Talipapa” where the stores of most local entrepreneurs are. There are also many sidewalk vendors and local people who walk around selling souvenirs and accessories. We did some a lot of “shop till you drop” – ing.

We did some island hopping but the weather was bad so instead of checking out 3 islands, we only “hopped” into one.

Crystal Cove Island

Open sea!

This guy is selling coconuts using his makeshift boat!

I was really excited to try parasailing. You’ll ride a parachute and a speedboat will pull it. Too bad the wind was so strong, parasailing was not allowed that time. The waves away from the beach were big and the wind was strong but besides that, the weather was good.

Looks so much fun!

Another activity that we tried was helmet diving. You’ll walk underwater, about 12 feet deep, wearing a 25kg helmet (it’ll get lighter when you’re in the water) which is open by the way, but not to worry because the water will only be up to your shoulders. I tried walking. Maybe that’s how it feels like when walking on the moon! Haha!

🙂

We already visited Boracay a couple of years ago. Zorb is a must try! You’ll be harnessed inside a big ball and you’ll go rollin’ down the hill! 🙂

That's the ball and they're gonna push it down there! (Can't gain this much weight anymore :c)

You can also drive an ATV and tour the island.

Life starts at night. Parties, food, alcohol, fireworks, fire dancers and more!

Mongolian Eat All You Can!

Fire Dancing

Did some “At Boracay Only” makeovers…

Henna Tattoo

hair braid

hair braid!

Do I still have to mention how gorgeous the beach is?

Sorry, can't help but pose! 🙂

Boracay is one of the best beaches in Asia!

I love the place so much, I’m coming back with my friends this year!!! 🙂

Have You Tried L.A. Passion?

Last week, I went to SM North EDSA to run some errands. I was already there so why not visit the beauty section? A saleslady told me that only for that day, all regular priced items are 10% off. You just have to present your SM Advantage Card. Lucky me!

I ended up buying L.A. Passion Lipstick in Sheer Rose (219php). This is my first time to ever try this brand. It’s mineral! 🙂

If you ask me, I would prefer the cap without the flowers. They make it look cheap. The color that I got was not really sheer, as the name implies, it’s just lighter than the common rose shade.

Color pay off is good, don’t be misled by its name. Color stays up to 2-3 hours without eating or drinking. It’s creamy and glides well on my lips. It doesn’t dry my lips! The lipstick has a very faint vanilla scent which reminds me of NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme.

Indoors

(The photos above did not give justice to the color. It looks more pigmented in real life.)

(L) NYX (R) L.A. Passion

Sheer Rose is similar to NYX Round Lipstick in Blush although NYX leans more to peach and L.A. Passion is more pink than peach.

Rubbed vigorously (L) NYX (R) L.A. Passion

L.A. Passion is very similar to NYX Round Lipstick. NYX is cheaper (160php) compared to L.A. Passion (219php), but the latter is made of minerals, so you choose.

Now let me show you the other goodies that I bought:

Marionnaud Brushes: (L) blush brush 169.75php and (R) concealer brush 69.75php

ponytail with bow design 89.75php
